"On Feb. 20, 2003, I watched the television coverage of The Station nightclub fire in Rhode Island with great concern. By 3:00a.m. it was reported that at least one fatality was confirmed. I sadly turned off the TV and said a prayer for that person's soul. By the end of the next day, the Governor of Rhode Island announced that the death toll had hit 97. In shock, I vented some of my emotions through composing the song '97 Angels', which is a song that asks God "WHY?"
